Infection Control Training

This weekend Allison, Jesse and I attended Infection Control Training at Dutchess Community College. The class is a requirement for all registered nurses in order to keep their nursing license. So we walk in, covered in tattoos and piercings, and staring back at us are all these nurses thinking we came to the wrong class. After a minute, the instructed remembered us from the last time we took the class four years ago. (The certification takes four years to expire) It was pretty funny and definately expected. After things settled and the class got down to brass tacs, we learned a bit of new information. We also reinforced all of the information on cross contamination and sterile practices we already knew. We do this for our own health benifits and the for the benifit of all our clients.
